Tithes and Offerings

 

We consider the giving of tithes and offerings to be both a commandment of the Lord as well as a form of worship.  This is confirmed in both the Old Testament scruiptures (such as Lev. 27:30-34) as well as the words of Jesus (Luke 11:42) in the New Testament.  Moreover, giving cheerfully is something we should gladly do because it is an outward expression of the love we have for God as well as the love we have for one another.
